The Residence Update

​Background

• “The Residence” is a partnership between St. John Lutheran Church and Community Living Center (“CLC”) of Farmington Hills to provide home/living services for three men that have intellectual and development disabilities.

• “The Residence” is located on St. John’s property and has gone through the extensive rebuilding and repair required for this use.   This phase of the project is completed.

• The next step is to install interior furniture. 

• The final step will be the move in of the residents and the CLC staff in the next few weeks.

What We Need:

• This document outlines our interior furniture needs for this home:

       - List of furniture needed for each area of the house

       - A floor plan of house and basement showing the approximate location of each piece of furniture.

      - Example pictures of the type of furniture we are looking for.   Exact match to these pictures is not required.

• General requirements of Furniture

       - Small – The rooms in this home are small.   Large furniture will not work.

       - Rugged – Strong, sturdy furniture is required for this use.
